Black Iris is the title of a limited edition collaborative CD by The Quiet Club and Stephen Vitiello. Recorded live in the Black Iris Gallery and Studios in Richmond, Virginia during February 2017 and mastered by Stephen Vitiello. The CD comes in a specially designed and numbered package and is available in two different sleeves for you to choose from.
The work was recorded at a concert given by The Quiet Club and Stephen Vitiello at the end of their residency at the Rauschenberg Foundation when they performed in the renowned Black Iris Gallery and
Studio.
The Quiet Club are regarded as one of Ireland’s leading sound art improvisation groups. Since their formation in 2006 they have exhibited and performed worldwide. Stephen Vitiello is regarded as one of
the world’s leading sound artists with works in numerous collections worldwide including MOMA New York and has released many highly acclaimed CDs.
