Memorialising the Sacred is a Book and CD by Anthony Kelly, Seán McCrum, Paddy Sammon and David Stalling. Centred on the country churches and shrines of Loutró and Anópoli in Sfakiá, south-west Crete, the book includes black and white photographs, sound recordings and related objects based on their installation at the Gallery of the Irish Architectural Archive, Dublin, Ireland.The book includes essays by Kátia Georgíou (Ambassador of Greece to Ireland), EL Putnam, Seán McCrum, Mary Patterson, Denis Coghlan and Paddy Sammon.
The CD by Anthony Kelly and David Stalling features an hour long composition drawn from field recordings made during trips to the Sfakiá region, Crete, during 2015 - 2016.
This first edition of 300 copies is published by Farpoint Recordings in association with the Irish Architectural Archive and the Classical Museum, University College, Dublin.
